Productivity requirements. Huge caseloads. Rigid schedules. Feeling like you have to rush through sessions. This position is a little different. I'm the owner of a small private pediatric occupational therapy practice in Northbrook, and I'm looking for an experienced pediatric OT to join our team as an independent contractor. The best part? You choose your schedule. You can completely decide your own hours based on what works for you. We currently have a therapist working Tuesday–Thursday, going on maternity leave in January. We're looking for someone who can help cover part or all of her leave. You can: Cover part of the maternity leave schedule Cover the entire maternity leave schedule Create your own schedule based on your availability before, during and after her leave Take on additional clients as your schedule allows There is no expectation that you work a traditional Monday–Friday schedule. I want our therapists to have the time and flexibility to actually provide good therapy. You'll have autonomy in your clinical decision-making, a supportive team, and the flexibility to create a schedule that works for your life. Interested? I'd love to connect! Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
