Title: Director of M&A Integration
Location: Remote + Travel
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to lead and execute acquisition and investment initiatives that support the company's long-term growth objectives. This individual will play a critical role in identifying potential acquisition targets, evaluating strategic opportunities, conducting financial analysis and due diligence, and managing transactions from initial evaluation through closing and integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, transaction execution experience, and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive successful M&A outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, evaluation, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, transaction execution, and post-acquisition integration planning.
Identify and assess potential acquisition targets and strategic investment opportunities aligned with corporate growth objectives.
Develop comprehensive financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and accretion/dilution analysis.
Conduct financial, operational, and strategic due diligence to evaluate transaction risks, synergies, and potential returns.
Partner closely with executive leadership to develop and execute the company's M&A strategy.
Prepare investment presentations, transaction recommendations, and financial analyses for senior management, executive committees, and the Board of Directors.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Operations, and Human Resources, throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Manage relationships with external advisors, including investment bankers, legal counsel, consultants, and other transaction partners.
Support transaction structuring, negotiations, and the development of letters of intent, purchase agreements, and other transaction documentation.
Evaluate potential acquisition synergies, integration opportunities, and financial and operational risks.
Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market conditions to identify strategic growth opportunities.
Support post-acquisition integration planning and track transaction performance against financial and strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.8–12+ years of progressive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience executing M&A transactions, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and deal structuring.
Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial statements, accounting principles, and transaction structures.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working directly with senior executives, external advisors, and cross-functional leadership teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex transactions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience with both buy-side and sell-side transactions preferred.
Prior experience in a corporate development, private equity-backed, or acquisitive organization is a plus.
