Senior Freight Account Manager
iron peak solutionsDenver (CO)
About the role
Iron Peak Solutions is a freight brokerage specializing in Flatbed, Van, and Reefer freight. We're hiring a Senior Freight Account Manager to own a book of business and run it like it's their own. This is not an entry point into freight brokerage. We need someone with 5-7+ years of hands-on account management experience in this industry — someone who already knows how to price a load, handle a service failure, and make the right call with a customer without needing to check with anyone first. What you'll own: A portfolio of accounts across Flatbed, Van, and Reefer freight Pricing, service issues, and escalations, start to finish Proactive outreach to your accounts — new contacts, new locations, new opportunities. Customers in this industry don't come to you; you have to go find the growth. Real business decisions made independently, using judgment built from years of doing this
What you need:
5-7+ years in freight brokerage or logistics account management, with your own book of business Real experience with tools like DAT, TS, or Triumph Intelligence The instincts to read a situation and make the right call, not the need to ask what to do nextA track record of holding your own with customers under pressure — pricing calls, service recovery, negotiationA hunter mentality — this role expands accounts, it doesn't just maintain them If you've spent years running freight accounts and know the business cold, we want to talk. If you're still early in your freight career and looking to learn the ropes, this isn't the right fit — but keep an eye out, as we hire for other roles too.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
