Job Description: Drywall/Stucco Superintendent Commercial Construction Includes (Drywall • Metal Framing • Stucco • Doors/Frames/HW • ACT Ceilings) Solid Builders Construction is seeking an experienced, highly organized Construction Superintendentto oversee the day-to-day field operations of our commercial construction projects. This position is responsible for coordinating manpower, subcontractors, materials, schedules, quality control, and safety to ensure projects are completedon time and to our quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong field experience indrywall, metal framing, stucco, EIFS, insulation, doors & hardware, & ACT ceilings, and be capable of managing crews and subcontractors while working closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily field operations, crews, and subcontractors. Ensure all framing, drywall, finishing, stucco, and related work meets company quality standards. Review and understand project drawings, specifications, wall types, details, and approved submittals. Coordinate manpower, materials, deliveries, equipment, and work areas to maintain the project schedule. Maintain accurateredline/as-built drawings, including field layout and changes. Monitor productivity and ensure crews are working efficiently and completing assigned tasks. Perform regular quality-control inspections and correct deficiencies before they become larger issues. Coordinate our work with the General Contractor and other trades to prevent conflicts and delays. Communicate field conditions, scope changes, additional work, and potential delays to the Project Manager. Maintain daily reports, progress documentation, photographs, and other required project records. Maintain detailed task and punch lists and ensure items are completed promptly. Conduct required toolbox talks and enforce company and project safety requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional jobsite. Assist with project punch list and closeout through final completion.
Qualifications: Strong commercial construction field experience. Drywall and metal framing experience required; stucco/EIFS experience strongly preferred. Previous Superintendent, Foreman, or Field Supervisor experience preferred. Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications. Ability to plan work, coordinate crews, and maintain project schedules. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; construction software experience is a plus. OSHA/Safety training preferred. English required; Spanish is a plus. Valid driver's license required.
