About the role

About the Opportunity: A growing SaaS technology organization is seeking a Group Product Manager to help lead the strategy and continued evolution of its Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) product portfolio. This is not a traditional execution-focused Product Management role. The organization is looking for someone who brings deep RMIS, risk management, insurance technology, or closely related domain expertise combined with strong customer-facing experience, strategic product thinking, market research, and commercialization experience. The Group Product Manager will work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand evolving risk management needs, identify opportunities for innovation, and translate those insights into product vision and roadmap strategy. This is a player-coach opportunity that includes leadership of an existing Senior Product Manager, with additional Product Management headcount anticipated as the organization continues to grow. Previous formal people management experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities: Own product vision, strategy, prioritization, and roadmap direction across RMIS products and capabilities. Conduct customer discovery, market research, competitive analysis, and Voice of Customer activities. Develop a deep understanding of risk management and insurance customer workflows, business challenges, and technology requirements. Translate customer feedback, market trends, competitive intelligence, and buyer needs into product strategy and commercial opportunities. Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Design, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product leadership throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Engage directly with customers and prospects to identify unmet needs and opportunities for new or enhanced product capabilities. Evaluate the RMIS and risk technology competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation. Support commercialization efforts by connecting product capabilities and investments to measurable customer and business value. Establish product goals, KPIs, and success metrics to evaluate product performance and business outcomes. Mentor and support Product Managers while helping establish strong Product Management practices. Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance product discovery, research, experimentation, and development workflows.
Required Qualifications: 8+ years of experience within RMIS, risk management, insurance technology, claims technology, or a closely related domain. Direct experience working with RMIS technology, risk management platforms, insurance technology solutions, implementations, consulting, Professional Services, or Product Management. Experience in Product Management or a product-adjacent capacity such as Product Ownership, Product Strategy, Product Marketing, Consulting, Implementation Leadership, or Professional Services. Demonstrated experience developing, owning, or meaningfully influencing product vision and roadmap strategy. Strong customer-facing experience, including discovery, consulting, implementations, advisory work, or strategic client engagement. Ability to translate customer needs and operational challenges into product opportunities and business value. Experience with market research, competitive analysis, commercialization, or Voice of Customer initiatives. Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. Understanding of RMIS buyers, risk management workflows, market dynamics, and technology trends. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working for an RMIS, risk technology, insurance technology, claims technology, or related software provider. Experience supporting large or complex enterprise risk management customers. Knowledge of areas such as claims management, incident management, exposure management, insurance programs, risk financing, safety, or risk analytics. Commercialization or go-to-market experience. Experience mentoring or managing Product Managers or Product Analysts. Practical experience incorporating AI tools into Product Management, research, analysis, or other professional workflows. Experience operating in a SaaS product environment. What Makes Someone Successful in This Role The strongest candidates will combine deep RMIS and risk management expertise with a highly customer-centric approach to Product Management. They will understand how risk and insurance organizations use technology to manage complex programs, know how to uncover unmet customer and market needs, and be able to translate those insights into compelling product strategies. Candidates do not need to have followed a traditional Product Management career path. Individuals who have developed significant RMIS expertise through consulting, implementation, Professional Services, product advisory, or other customer-facing roles and have subsequently influenced product strategy and roadmap decisions are strongly encouraged to apply. This opportunity is particularly well suited for someone who understands the RMIS market, enjoys working directly with customers, and wants broader ownership of product strategy, innovation, and commercialization. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
