Logistics Specialist (Logistics Management Analyst 3) - 29876 HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking a Logistics Specialist in our Virginia Beach, Virginia location. This position will support an in-office work schedule. Relocation assistance is available for the selected candidate if residing out of state. The Logistics Specialist supports a wide range of logistics functions across the globe. Develops and reviews requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts, and supplies; tracks materials and parts in transit; reviews configuration changes to evaluate the impact on logistics deployment. Supports management and reporting of Government Furnished Property and Contractor Acquired Property to include import and export compliance and recurring inventories.
What You Will Do:
Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives Oversees and manages all logistical aspects of a world-wide multi-site program responsible for advising program leadership on best practices to ensure compliance while meeting program goals Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards Viewed as expert in field within the corporation Safety protocols (Warehouse safety), including loading and unloading pallets, CONEX Containers, small and large equipment, and equipment/material storage shelves What We Are Looking For: 6 years of relevant experience with bachelor's in related field; 4 years relevant experience with master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience U.S. Citizen Top Secret Security Clearance Experience with eQuip Asset Management and Asset Tracking Software Leadership roles with small groups or teams Supervised/worked in a warehouse environment Fork truck driver experience Organizational, Teamwork, and Quality Control skills Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a warehouse environment Must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment
