About the role
Partner with Mast Labs: Independent Business Development Opportunity 📍 Bethesda · Philadelphia · Baltimore Mast Labs is looking for an independent business development partner to introduce new clients to our facilities across the Mid-Atlantic. We've hosted hundreds of orthopedic labs, and demand is growing well beyond that. Our spaces support cadaveric labs, simulation and robotics training, sales training, train-the-trainer sessions, R&D events, medical device education, medical book clubs, board meetings, and more. We're especially seeing momentum in spine, ENT, neuro, sleep apnea, foot & ankle, hand, vascular, CGM testing, simulation, and Sawbones-based training.
The opportunity:
- Connect surgeons and medical device companies with Mast Labs for their first event with usRun grassroots outreach and cold prospecting across the Bethesda, Philadelphia, and Baltimore markets
- Represent Mast Labs in early conversations, then hand qualified leads to our Event Coordinator and quote team
- Focus entirely on new relationships: first-time clients, not repeat bookings
- Build your own book of business with performance-based earning potential
- A great fit if you:
- Have a strong network among surgeons, device reps, or healthcare professionals in the Mid-Atlantic
- Are comfortable with cold calls and relationship building from scratch
- Work independently (distributor backgrounds welcome) without ties to a single major device manufacturer, so you can work across specialties and companies without conflicts
- Are self-directed and motivated by results

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
