About the role
- Complete major component exchanges, including gearboxes, generators, main bearings and blades
- Support crane operations, rigging and lifting activities
- Follow lift plans, method statements and OEM procedures
- Complete mechanical disassembly, installation, alignment and reassembly
- Carry out torqueing, tensioning and tooling activities
- Assist with troubleshooting during component replacement
- Complete pre-task briefings, toolbox talks and job documentation
- Maintain high safety, quality and productivity standards
- Work closely with MCE Team Leads, site management and OEM representatives
- Previous wind turbine major corrective or component-exchange experience
- Experience with gearbox, generator, main-bearing or blade exchanges
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on wind turbine experience
- Previous torqueing, tensioning, alignment and rigging experience
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow OEM procedures
- Current GWO certifications
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the United StatesLegal authorisation to work in the United States
