About the Role:
Ampersand, Inc. is hiring a Financial Operations Associate based on-site at our Waukesha, WI office. This is not a remote or hybrid position — you'll work daily alongside our operations team in Waukesha, supporting the treasury and cash management programs we deliver through our partner financial institutions. We provide deposit aggregation, deposit administration, escrow, lending, and related services designed to protect institutional and depositor funds — with a focus on competitive rates, operational efficiency, and high-quality client service.
What You'll Do:
Transaction Processing & Reconciliation Process daily treasury and cash management transactions — deposit placements, withdrawals, and interbank transfers — with a high standard of accuracy Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of deposit accounts and internal ledgers; investigate and resolve discrepancies Process requests Deposit Monitoring & Escrow Administration Monitor deposit activity across partner financial institutions, ensuring balances, rates, and allocations conform to program terms Reporting, Service & Controls Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management, partners, and clients Respond to inquiries from colleagues, partner banks, and clients professionally and within service timeframes; own issues through resolution Execute duties in adherence to internal controls and applicable regulatory requirements; support audits and exams Contribute to process improvements, desk documentation, and special projects
What We're Looking For:
Required Strong operations skills: transaction processing, reconciliation, and exceptional attention to detail Solid analytical skills — interpreting data, identifying discrepancies, supporting decisions Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; clear written and verbal communication Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under daily deadlines Preferred 1–3 years in financial services, banking operations, treasury, or escrow administration Familiarity with deposit products (DDA, savings, CDs), deposit aggregation/reciprocal deposit programs, or cash management platforms Basic understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for banking operations Associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field Why Ampersand Broad exposure across deposit operations, escrow, and partner-bank coordination — not a narrow, single-task roleA collaborative, Midwest-based team where accuracy and improvement are valued Competitive compensation and benefits
