The Emergency Services Paramedic is a member of the collaborative practice team and renders care in accordance with the Ohio Public Safety Rule; the Paramedic may perform emergency medical services only under the direction and supervision of a physician or registered nurse designated by a physician and only in the hospital's emergency department or while moving a patient between the emergency department and another department. Education: HSD/GED is required
Certification/Licensure: State of Ohio Paramedic Certification is requiredCPR/BLS is requiredPALS is preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hireACLS preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hireEVOC Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification is preferred at time of hire, but required within two weeks of hire This position requires maintaining a valid Ohio driver's license, being a minimum of 21 years old, and meeting all eligibility criteria for coverage under the hospital's insurance policy.
