About the role

Accountant, Real Estate Hollywood Park is seeking a self-motivated Accountant for our real estate team to help us build and scale our real estate accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates a can-do attitude, strong financial acumen, and a passion for real estate development. The person should have a team player attitude and demonstrate a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines to help us scale, grow and build something great! More Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To...Record journal entries (month-end closing entries, cash, accruals, prepaids, etc), review GL's to ensure accuracy and prepare account with ALL financial processes for a portfolio of office, retail, residential, and other real estate development projects, including monthly close, financial reporting, budget to actual reports, tax reporting, and ad-hoc reporting as needed. Self-starter that identifies and executes improvements in our tools, reporting, and processes. Analytically strong, detail oriented, with good organizational skills. Work with broader accounting and Hollywood Park team to understand operations and key financial and operational drivers. We'd Love to Hear From People With...Approximately 0-3 years of combined accounting and finance experience. Public accounting experience is a plus. Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA track is a plus. Strong work ethic and commitment to high standards and ethics. Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to interface with management and professionally communicate with outside stakeholders. Compensation
Salary: $70,500 - $75,000In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Hollywood Park considers a candidate's education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
