About the role
- Perform inspection of structural steel fabrication, welding, and coatings
- Verify compliance with shop drawings, WPS/PQRs, and welder certifications
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards, including AWS D1.5/D1.1, AASHTO, and DOT specifications
- Monitor fabrication processes including welding, bolting, and coating
- Witness and document NDT activities
- Identify and report non-conformances
- Prepare detailed daily reports
- Coordinate with fabricators and project teams
- Provide updates to clients, and internal project teams
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- Minimum 0-3 years structural steel fabrication inspection experience
- Experience in fabrication shop environments
- Knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5 requirements
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to travel
- NDT certifications (UT, MT, RT film interpretation)
- Coating inspection experience (AMPP/NACE/SSPC)
- Bolting inspection experienceDOT fabrication inspection experience
- Fracture-critical inspection experience
