About the role
- What will I do?
- Source and purchase materials, equipment, and parts needed for service and installation jobs
- Work closely with field technicians and internal departments to create and manage purchase orders
- Respond to phone calls and material requests from technicians in the field
- Conduct price comparisons and vendor analysis to secure the best value and pricing
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Track and monitor incoming shipments and resolve delivery issues when necessary
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Ensure inventory and purchasing needs are met to support daily operations
- Do I have what it takes?
- Previous purchasing or procurement experience required
- Experience in the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or related trades is a plus
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
