About the role
- Program Management Support implementation of ITI's strategy on energy and infrastructure policy issues, in coordination with the Vice President of Energy & Infrastructure Policy.
- Organize one or more member committees or working groups, including agenda development, meeting logistics, and ongoing member engagement.
- Help manage policy projects, consultants, coalitions, events, and other initiatives, including timelines, deliverables, and internal coordination.
- Analytics and Writing Develop ITI's subject matter expertise across the energy and infrastructure portfolio.
- Monitor, analyze, and prepare written summaries of federal and state legislation, regulation, and other energy and infrastructure policy developments relevant to ITI members.
- Conduct research and draft regulatory comments, legislative analysis, talking points, testimony, white papers, presentations, member updates, and other policy and advocacy materials.
- Support external communications and thought leadership by developing publications, speaking materials, briefing documents, and other content that explains ITI's energy and infrastructure policy priorities.
- Stakeholder Engagement Contribute to the development of consensus industry positions by engaging ITI members on energy and infrastructure policy issues.
- Engage directly with peers at FERC, DOE, the White House, state energy offices, and other policymakers to advance ITI member priorities.
- Represent ITI in stakeholder meetings, coalition activities, conferences, roundtables, and panels on issues within the energy and infrastructure policy portfolio.
- Coordinate with ITI colleagues across sustainability, government relations, public sector, trade, communications, and other policy areas to align energy and infrastructure policy work with broader organizational priorities.
- Your qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in energy policy, public policy, engineering, economics, law, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience; preferably in a trade association, company, government agency, Capitol Hill, consultancy, or advocacy organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of energy and/or data center policy issues.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to the development and execution of policy advocacy strategies and working with coalitions or diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory issues for company representatives, policymakers, colleagues, and public audiences.
- An existing network of contacts in the energy and infrastructure policy community is a plus.
