What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Taxation or Business preferred 7+ years of tax experience Statutory accounting and insurance tax experience preferred Strong ASC 740 tax accounting and provision experience Corporate tax and/or public accounting experience with a strong technical tax background Experience reviewing tax provisions, returns, technical documentation, and the work of other tax professionalsCPA preferred
What You’ll Be Doing: Review tax provisions, returns, supporting documentation, and other tax deliverables for accuracy and compliance Lead quality assurance reviews related to significant transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures Identify and evaluate tax risks associated with transactions and special projects Research technical tax matters and advise on the tax implications of proposed transactions and business activities Prepare and review ASC 740 memoranda and audit-ready tax documentation Support tax planning initiatives, audits, notices, and the defense of tax positions Help maintain strong tax procedures, documentation, and internal controls Provide technical guidance and training to other members of the tax team
