MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – DAYS Sheboygan County | Full-time, direct hire
Schedule: Day shift, flexible start (6a-3p or 7a-4p) | Weekend on-call rotation about 1 to 2 times per month
Pay: $30-35+/hour depending on experience $3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: A food manufacturer is adding a day shift Maintenance Technician at its WI plant. You will own operational, utility and maintenance issues across the facility, from preventive work to emergency troubleshooting. The company promotes from within and offers real room to grow.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Perform preventive, routine and emergency maintenance on buildings and production equipment Troubleshoot production equipment and keep management informed of potential issues Monitor equipment pressures and flow rates Monitor boiler performance, water and air quality Perform general facility maintenance, including sanitary and structural welding Maintain PM logs and sanitation log records on time Work with outside vendors and contractors on facility projects Follow all LOTO, PRCS (permit-required confined space) and safety procedures Operate a forklift (must be forklift certified) WHAT YOU NEED Strong mechanical experience, ideally in an industrial or food manufacturing setting 2 to 3 years of maintenance experience preferred, or equivalent skills in a food processing plant Strong mechanical aptitude, initiative and a desire to learn Able to pass forklift certification Able to work independently or as part of a team Available for weekend on-call about 1 to 2 times per month Must be legally authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship now or in the future
