Role Description: The Finance Manager is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations and supporting informed decision-making. Typical responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, preparing regular financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The Finance Manager will help maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with relevant financial, tax, and industry regulations. This role collaborates with leadership to analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic planning. The Finance Manager is expected to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring. Proficiency in accounting practices, such as bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Experience using accounting and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar tools) and strong spreadsheet skills. Knowledge of relevant tax, compliance, and regulatory requirements, ideally in a retail or regulated industry. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues. Ability to work remotely in a part-time capacity, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Accountant, or similar role in a small business or retail environment is beneficial.
