About the role
- Set the vision, objectives, and priorities for Genmab's oncology clinical nurse education strategy in alignment with portfolio and launch goals.
- Lead field execution and ensure consistent, high-quality education across priority customers and geographies, in alignment with a vendor partner.
- Accountability for vendor performance, service expectations, budget, and issue resolution.
- Establish appropriate measures to assess readiness, educational quality, customer engagement, insights, and overall effectiveness.
- Guide workforce planning,, onboarding, training, and ongoing readiness to meet evolving business and customer needs.
- Authority over field deployment and account prioritization, along with expectations for educational quality, team readiness, and program effectiveness.
- Oversee the development and delivery of evidence-based educational materials and programs for nurses and allied healthcare professionals.
- Translate complex scientific and clinical information into accurate, relevant, and practice-oriented education that supports the safe and effective use of Genmab therapies.
- Serve as a clinical subject-matter expert in oncology nursing practice, standards of care, treatment-related toxicities, administration and monitoring considerations.
- Ensure field activities comply with applicable Genmab policies, instructions, approved materials and processes, documentation requirements, and appropriate role boundaries.
- Ensure that nurse educator activities are non-promotional and do not include selling, detailing, soliciting prescriptions, providing medical advice, making or participating in treatment recommendations, or interfering with the independent clinical judgment of healthcare professionals.
- Capture and communicate field insights, emerging trends, barriers, and unmet educational needs to inform organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Patient Services, Market Access, Training, Compliance, Legal, and other partners to support coordinated planning and execution.
- Manage the function's budget and resources responsibly, ensuring appropriate quality, impact, and value.
- Provide senior leadership with concise updates on progress, insights, risks, recommendations, and resource needs, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; BSN is strongly preferred. An active, unrestricted RN license is strongly preferred. A master's degree, MSN, and/or Oncology Certified Nurse credential is preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry and/or clinical oncology nursing, with a strong understanding of oncology care, therapeutics, treatment-related toxicities, and patient education.
- Demonstrated experience leading field-based clinical, nurse educator, or healthcare professional education teams.
- Leading in a matrix environment is required.
- Experience overseeing and managing third party relationships is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting oncology launches, indication expansions, or the growth of field-based clinical or educational teams is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnology compliance requirements and the governance of field-based clinical education.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders, and deliver results in a highly matrixed environment.
- Strong business acumen and experience with budgets, resource planning, and performance measurement.
