About the role

Company description: PressWhisper is a PR platform that helps founders earn press coverage without an agency retainer. It analyses what tens of thousands of journalists publish, matches each story to up to 20 journalists who cover that subject, and supports every pitch with a press kit hosted at its own permanent link. Co-founder Jim Edmondson started PressWhisper after receiving 18 agency quotes of £3,500 to £5,000 a month, on six-month minimum terms, to secure coverage for his own brand.

Role description: This is a self-employed, commission-only role. There is no salary or base pay. You will generate your own leads, contact founders directly by phone and email, and close sales of White Glove, our done-for-you PR service. PressWhisper builds the press kit, identifies the right journalists and writes the pitches, and the client approves everything before it is sent. White Glove costs £2,500, paid once. If no journalist runs the story within 90 days of the client approving their press kit, the client receives a full refund. Commission£500 for each client you sign, paid once the client's first article is published. No claw-backs. Refunds only apply when no coverage runs, and commission is paid after coverage has run. White Glove is limited, so we are appointing a small number of representatives.

What we provide: Published results to reference on calls, including TheBusinessDesk running Hirundine's story within five days and Fausto receiving six positive replies from journalists within ten hours. Lead registration: prospects you register with us are protected for 90 days. Full control of your own hours and methods.

Requirements:

A track record of generating your own leads and closing the sale yourself, ideally in B2B.Confidence speaking with founders and business owners.
Experience selling media, advertising, marketing or professional services is an advantage.
Able to work on a self-employed basis and invoice PressWhisper for commission.
US or UK based only
This role is not suited to candidates looking for a salary or pre-booked appointments.
