About the role
Reporting to the CEO, the full-time South Carolina Licensed General Counsel will provide strategic legal counsel in a remote setting, focusing on healthcare regulatory compliance, governance support, and risk management while overseeing the compliance function across the organization.
Key responsibilities
Advise the CEO and executive leadership on legal and regulatory requirements, translating them into actionable guidance
Lead the implementation and oversight of a comprehensive Compliance Program aligned with HHS-OIG guidance
Manage contracting and transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements
Required qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active bar admission and ability to practice in South Carolina
Extensive experience in healthcare law and regulatory compliance
Working knowledge of healthcare accreditation standards and survey processes
Ability to manage ambiguity and work collaboratively in a team environment
