Program Manager – Automotive Manufacturing

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead automotive manufacturing programs from initial planning through product launch and production. This role will coordinate cross-functional engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams while serving as a key customer contact.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead automotive programs through product development, launch, and production. Develop and manage program timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk mitigation plans. Coordinate cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams. Manage tooling, engineering changes, product realization, and launch activities. Drive APQP, PPAP, PRP, and phase-gate activities to ensure on-time program execution. Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve technical and program issues. Participate in DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA, and continuous improvement activities. Monitor program status and communicate progress, risks, and action plans to leadership. Support new product launches and ensure production readiness. Lead and mentor engineering and quality team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.3+ years of automotive program/project management experience. Strong experience with APQP, PPAP, AIAG, FMEA, and automotive launch processes. Experience managing tooling, engineering changes, and complex project timelines. Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes; injection molding experience is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills. Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with customers and suppliers. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Must be local to the Huntsville, AL area. No relocation available. Preferred Automotive OEM or Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier experience. Experience with injection molding or plastics manufacturing. MBA or advanced degree. Experience managing engineers or quality professionals. Experience with global/cross-cultural teams.
