NOC Analyst – Tier 2 | Annapolis, MD | OnsiteMSR Technology Group is hiring an experienced NOC Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with potential Contract-to-Hire.
Location: Annapolis, MD – 100% Onsite
Pay: $35/hr W2 +
Benefits
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM EST | Mid/Overnight Shift
Schedule: 24x 7x 365 operation – weekends & holidays may be required Contract: Long-Term | Contract-to-Hire possible
Education: HS Diploma/GED + 2 years relevant experience OR Associate degree + 1–2 years relevant experience
What You’ll Do: Monitor and troubleshoot IP networks, systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and circuits Monitor network performance and coordinate with telecom providers for service restoration Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 network/system incidents Work with incident management tools and maintain accurate incident documentation Troubleshoot Cisco devices, TCP/IP, HSRP and BGPSupport high-availability network and data communication environments Escalate complex issues and collaborate with senior NOC/network engineers Provide strong customer support while managing multiple incidents and priorities
Required Skills: Network+ Certification Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking Hands-on experience troubleshooting Cisco devices Experience with HSRP/BGPUnderstanding of ITIL/ITSMStrong troubleshooting, communication, multitasking and attention-to-detail skills PreferredCCNARemedy / Netcool Service Now Microsoft Office 365NOC Training The selected candidate will be cross-trained across three NOC functions: Transport | Data Link | Applications Training will cover network monitoring, ground station/data-link systems, routers, circuits, firewalls and application/message-flow monitoring.
