Manufacturing Engineer – Capital Projects Pittston, Pennsylvania (Commutable from: Wilkes-Barre, Exeter, Nanticoke, Scranton, Hazleton)$80,000 - $110,000 + Specialist Training + Lean Certifications + Career Progression + Excellent Benefits Package Are you a Manufacturing, Mechanical, Design, or Project Engineer with capital project experience, looking to take ownership of major equipment and facility projects at a market-leading organization? This is an excellent opportunity to develop into a specialist Project Engineering role, managing a varied portfolio of capital projects while receiving training in Project Engineering, SAP, SolidWorks, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma. This company are an established global manufacturer with operations across the world and a strong reputation within their industry. They invest heavily in employee development, offering extensive training and excellent opportunities for long-term career progression. In this role, you will take ownership of a portfolio of 10–15 capital projects simultaneously, managing approximately $5m in annual spend from planning through to implementation. Projects will range from $50k equipment and facility improvements completed within weeks to major $2m upgrades lasting up to a year, with a 70/30 split between project management and overseeing work on the production floor. This role would suit an Engineer or Project Manager with experience supporting or managing tangible capital projects involving equipment, machinery, facilities, or infrastructure, looking to develop their Project Engineering skillset within a global manufacturing organization.
The Role: Take ownership of 10–15 active capital projects, managing planning, budgets, timelines, contractors, and implementation Manage approximately $5m in annual projects, ranging from $50k equipment and facility improvements to $2m+ major upgrades Approximately 70% project management / 30% production floor, with specialist training in Project Engineering, SAP, SolidWorks, Lean, and Six SigmaThe Person:
  • Manufacturing Engineer, Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar with capital project experience
  • Engineering/project experience within manufacturing, industrial, distribution, warehouse, construction, or similar environments
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or similar
