Receptionist PositionPerdue Brandon is seeking a professional, friendly receptionist to represent our Firm and serve as a first point of contact for guests visiting our busy office from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Key responsibilities for this person include answering and transferring phone calls, greeting guests when they arrive, and managing our incoming and outgoing mail.PBFCM has been in business since 1970. We represent more than 2000 governmental entities in Texas school districts, cities, counties, hospital districts, appraisal districts, and special districts. We have grown steadily every year. We currently have 15 offices across Texas with over 50 attorneys and more than 400 employees. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-starting hard worker to join our winning team!Essential Job Functions:Answers, screens, and directs phone calls; takes messages.Determines the purpose of each person's visit, contacts the Firm member who can assist and directs the person to the appropriate location.Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.Manage, clean and organize the front desk.Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.Performs additional clerical or administrative duties, as needed or assigned.Experience Requirement:At least one (1) year experience in an office settingThree (3) years of professional work experience (Preferred)Previous experience in a law office (Preferred)Education Requirement:Minimum of high school diploma (or equivalent) required; Bachelor's degree or in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree is preferredCompetencies:Essential Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.Has knowledge of operation of office machines such as copiers, scanners and fax machinesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasksPunctuality and dependabilityPreferred Skills:Bilingual (Spanish)Excellent critical thinking skillsSuperior computer skills and knowledgeProactive work ethicExcellent organizational skillsWork Environment:Sitting at a computer most of the dayOn the job trainingPerformance assessment within the first 90 days of employmentAnnual performance reviewsReporting to Office ManagerPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.If you have an interest in this opportunity, please apply via our web site at: www.PBFCM.com
