About the role
Retail Supervisor Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving problems.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the retail aspect of the Health and Wellness Market as well as formulate strategies to increase sales Manages opening/closing responsibilities; to include arming, disarming security system; lock and secure store, daily sales reporting, attendance tracking, and bank deposits Ensure exceptional service is provided to customers by all team members Stay current on available product, both private label and third party, by thoroughly reviewing training and/ or product literature; Create and administer monthly magazine assessment Manage customer feedback and/ or inquiries Create task list for staff to be completed daily Supervise and direct staff with daily workflow, store maintenance, special projects, and continued education Create task list for team to be completed daily, ensure proper staffing and scheduling Supervise and direct staff with daily workflow, special projects and continued education Ensure nutrition center is stocked, merchandised (per guidelines) organized and maintained Set up marketing campaigns and sales Maintain constant and timely communication with manager Assist as needed with floor moves, resets and end cap programs based on sales performance, inventory on hand, vendor partnerships and marketing strategies Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position Other duties as assigned Position Requirements:3+ years of retail supervisory experience Vitamin & Supplement knowledge required Associate or bachelor's degree Superior customer service and leadership skills Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
