About the role
Job TitleCompletes appropriate home safety evaluation and patient/caregiver education related to ordered equipment and suppliesPerforms equipment setup, orientation, and demonstration of the safe operation and use of HMEAssists in general warehouse duties such as stocking, rotating inventory, receiving, shipping, and processing equipment and suppliesEnsures courteous and efficient service is provided daily to patient base and referral sourcesEnsures proper regulatory compliance is maintained as it pertains to FDA, ACHC, DOT, and HIPPADelivers and sets up DME equipment and instructs patients on the basic useLoads and unloads DME equipment, oxygen, and medical supplies onto delivery truck and ensures it's properly secured and organizedCleans and function tests all incoming dirty equipment as needed and assists with ordering and stocking of warehouse equipment and suppliesEnsures all routine vehicle maintenance is scheduled and performed as outlined by DOT PoliciesAssists with hiring, coaching, performance appraisals, and disciplining of subordinate staffAssists with daily supervision of departmental staffEducation/Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalency preferredMust have a valid driver's license with a good driving recordMust have a working knowledge of the delivery service area and route planningPrevious delivery and/or warehouse experience preferredFamiliar with safe handling and transport of compressed medical gasMust possess strong organizational and time management skillsMust be available to work flexible hours and rotate on-call responsibilitiesMust have excellent verbal communication skillsShould have knowledge of Word Processing Software and ability to use mobile devices such as a smart phonePhysical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
