Description
The Role: Senior Construction Brokers use deep technical expertise to negotiate placement and coverage strategies for WTW's largest, most complex clients. They build strong carrier relationships, stay ahead of industry trends, and help our team deliver superior results for our clients. This role sits within a fast-growing production team executing an ambitious growth strategy: expanding our presence across Florida and in key markets nationally, especially deepening our Residential Construction book, and building the next generation of client relationships in commercial real estate (CRE), homebuilding, and multi-family housing. This is an opportunity to help shape that growth from the ground up, working alongside a collaborative team focused on winning new business, strengthening carrier partnerships, and positioning WTW as the go-to advisor in this space.

Core responsibilities include: Driving strategic solutions through creative use of capacity – Builder’s Risk & Complex Casualty Building strong carrier and client relationships at senior management levels Designing coverage to meet evolving industry needs Marketing new business, securing best-in-market terms, negotiating complex programs, and placing difficult risk Working with WTW’s analytic tools for casualty, property and benchmarking Overseeing renewals Verifying policy language matches negotiated terms Developing new partner markets and supporting national carrier relationships Partnering with Construction and Real Estate brokers firmwide on strategic solutions Qualifications
The Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred; insurance degree a plus Insurance broker's license required Professional designations preferred 10+ years of complex casualty broking, including underwriting or analytical experience Experience managing large, complex (multi-plan, multi-state) clients Deep technical knowledge of insurance contracts and structures Familiarity with the global marketplace, including London and Bermuda Strong knowledge of E&O avoidance and resolution Strong negotiation skills and ability to solve complex problems Client-first orientation; able to proactively identify needs and implement solutions Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality work on time and within budget Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills Self-motivated team player, resourceful and committed to continuous learning Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.
