This is a pivotal role, with the CISO being responsible for the end-to-end security strategy, program leadership, and governance. The successful candidate will define and own the security roadmap, establish security policies and standards, and ensure compliance across various security frameworks. As the first CISO, the role involves building and leading the security function, partnering with engineering, product, sales, and legal teams, and representing the security program to the board, regulators, and enterprise customers. Applicants for the CISO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in senior security leadership, preferably as a CISO at an enterprise SaaS or cloud company. The role requires a proven track record in building and scaling security programs, deep knowledge of cloud, SaaS, infrastructure security, and data protection, and direct experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and FedRAMP programs. The ideal candidate will be an executive-level communicator, adept at presenting to various stakeholders, and have experience in recruiting, managing, and developing security teams. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in regulated environments, public sector security programs, and relevant security certifications.
