About the role

The Role + Purpose: We're seeking an experienced Associate Technical Designer, Men's Outerwear & Swim to drive garment excellence through precise fit evaluation and technical communication. This role independently manages vendor relationships and construction problem-solving while ensuring all garments meet our exacting fit standards and delivery timelines. You'll lead fitting processes, create comprehensive technical documentation, and serve as a key liaison between design vision and manufacturing execution. Lead fitting sessions and communicate effectively with cross-functional team members to ensure alignment on fit standards Collaborate with vendors and internal teams through daily communication to maintain project momentum and resolve issues Manage garment evaluation by measuring incoming samples and ensuring alignment with vendor-supplied measurements Provide innovative solutions for construction and sewing challenges by working independently with factories Maintain compliance with approval timelines by tracking samples and counter samples throughout the development process Create comprehensive tech packs including garment sketches, construction details, technical trims, measurements, and grade rules
Qualifications
Required: 2-5 years of technical design experience with demonstrated knowledge of fit, grade rules, and sewing techniques Knowledge of patternmaking and draping with understanding of garment construction processes Proficiency in PLM systems, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Illustrator Strong communication and organizational abilities with vendor management experience Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve technical challenges
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, or equivalent work experience in related field Experience with international factory communication and construction problem-solving
