Job DescriptionSUMMARY OF DESCRIPTIONThe Inside Sales person is the key in establishing customer contact and relations. As a key person in servicing and assisting in customer inquires, demands, and challenges, this person must excel in customer relations and be knowledgeable of the products and services provided. Finally, this position will be responsible for the accuracy and completion of all necessary paper work required in completing each transaction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe responsibilities of the Inside Sales person are as follows; it must be noted that the daily activities of an individual may not be limited solely to the items listed, additional duties and responsibilities be assigned as necessary be management. Customer SalesIdentify needs of the customer whether it be product or serviceAlways use a positive, friendly and professional approachProvide answers to any customer inquiriesUse quoted prices and arrange delivery schedules with dispatchMust utilize diligence to provide correct pricing to quotes to eliminate creditsAssist customers as required in WarehouseProvide samples, literature and product demonstration as neededMaintain organized library of literature, catalogs and samplesPrepare Sale Bill of Ladings and direct customer for loadingDemonstrate the "100% Customer Satisfaction" attitudeSeek assistance as circumstances arise when you are uncertainConfer with Management to suggest workable but reasonable inventory levels based on sales and availabilityDAILY FRONT OFFICE DUTIESAssist in answering and directing phone callsDirect calls to proper individual or take accurate messagesHave access to stock status information available for quick response to inquiryAssist outside sales and shipping in preparing order for pickup or deliveryComplete each sale or purchase with understanding of the effect on inventoryAssure each order that is shipped is prepared to invoice same daySAFETYParticipate in all company safety classesParticipate in promoting a safe work environmentKnow where to send employees for medical treatmentReport any accidents to Management immediatelyCommunicate any yard or vehicle safety issue to Management immediatelyPoint out any unsafe act you may observe by any employeePromote good housekeeping throughout the warehouse and vehiclesQUALIFICATIONSTo be considered for this position of Inside Sales/Customer Service, an individual must meet or have clearly demonstrated their ability for consideration by achieving the following: Possess excellent customer skillsMaintain and grow professional relationshipsHave proficient math and numerical skillsHave good verbal and written skillsHave knowledge of our products line, application and usesMust be detailed, accurate and organizedHave experience with inside sale and computer interfaceWorking knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel & OutlookDESIGNATED HOURS OF WORKWorks a 40 hour work weekMay not work over eight (8) hours in any given day without prior approval on Inside Sales/Customer Service Manager or Facility ManagerMust clock in and out daily-including lunchesMust take lunch dailyMEASURES OF PERFORMANCEThe performance of the Inside Sales person will be evaluated on the completion of assigned tasks as described above. In addition, this person will be evaluated on the quality and professionalism of customer contact, accuracy and satisfaction of servicing customer's needs, and the ability to process orders from customer emails and telephone efficiently. All pricing and customer history is to be kept confidential along with any trade secret practices that the company possess and/or executes. Reviews of performance for new employees will occur every six (6) months and annually thereafter. Immediate issues and concerns will be addressed as needed.
