- Leadership and Clinical Responsibilities
- Serve as a physician leader in assuring high clinical standards of services provided
- Develop and establish evidence-based patient care policies, procedures and care standards in support of the site in collaboration with District personnel
- Participate in and support the development of quality management and utilization review pertinent to the District and site
- Assist with data collection, submission of regulatory measures, tracking and reporting. Critically appraises data and implements findings in patient care decisions
- Attend leadership conferences and training as designated by the executive leadership for quality of care
- Facilitate ongoing commitment to medical and clinical improvement with other physicians within the service line
- Be accountable for quality management and utilization review pertinent to providers related to the service line and counsel providers not meeting practice, quality expectations

- Participate in yearly evaluation of providers at the siteParticipate in ongoing meetings and training of providers regarding District/Acclaim initiatives
- Counsel providers not meeting practice, quality or behavioral standards as escalated through Acclaim leadership and Practice Manager
- Collaborate on performance improvement plans to improve performance; mentor and train providers as needed
- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants), if applicable
- Support and attend Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings
- Ensure monitoring and supervision of medical students/residents and other learners rotating through the siteParticipate in preparation and education for audits by The Joint Commission and other regulatory audits
- Track and trend patient complaints; create plans to address appropriately
- Maintain standards of patient-centered care
- Oversee leave and sick time requests at the site to minimize patient impact
- Provide leadership to strengthen organizational culture emphasizing excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Administrative Responsibilities in District and in the Community
- Develop strategic plans for site operation with District/Acclaim and operational leaders
- Participate in professional organizations to attract qualified medical and support staff
- Provide input on operational policies and programs complying with federal/state directives
- Participate in clinical and system integration and business process redesign
- Provide administrative and consultative services as requested, including committees
- Assist in quality assessment, performance improvement, utilization review, risk management and cost effectiveness
- Track patient and provider satisfaction; implement changes to meet benchmarks
- Build a positive brand and patient/customer experience for those who encounter JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician GroupServe as a community resource
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
