Masters or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Protein Sciences, Mass Spectrometry, Structural Biology, or related scientific discipline.-8+ years of industry experience in mass spectrometry and protein characterization.-Experience supporting biologics, antibodies, protein therapeutics, or discovery programs.-Experience with Mass Spectrometry Platforms-Thermo Orbitrap Systems-Thermo Q Exactive Platforms-Agilent LC/TOF-MS Systems-LC-MS/MS Technologies

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Mass Spectrometry Platform Lead to oversee the operation, optimization, and scientific advancement of a four-instrument mass spectrometry platform supporting multiple projects. The successful candidate will provide platform leadership, protein characterization expertise, workflow development, user training, and scientific support for antibody discovery, protein engineering, and therapeutic development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operation of a multi-instrument mass spectrometry platform
- Maintain instrument uptime, performance qualification, calibration, and maintenance schedules
- Execute protein characterization studies utilizing peptide mapping, intact mass, PTM analysis, and native mass spectrometry
- Develop standardized workflows, SOPs, and QC benchmarks
- Process, analyze, interpret, and report analytical data
- Train scientific users on instrumentation and workflows
- Support protein reagent characterization including antibodies, antigens, scFvs, minibinders, and ADCsLead workflow optimization efforts to improve turnaround time and throughput
- Maintain documentation within electronic laboratory notebooks and data repositories
- Support advanced structural MS studies including HDX-MS and crosslinking experiments
