We are a fully remote architecture firm specializing in commercial and industrial projects across the Eastern and Central U.S. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Project Architect who brings strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to project delivery. This is a full-time, remote-first role with some travel for project and client meetings.
Position Overview:
The Project Architect develops and coordinates architectural documentation, applies code requirements, and helps resolve technical challenges across all phases of commercial and industrial projects. You’ll work closely with Senior Project Architects, Project Managers, consultants, and clients to translate design intent into accurate, coordinated project documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Design & Coordination Develop and coordinate architectural drawing sets that align with design intent, project requirements, and firm standards. Prepare coordinated construction documents in Revit. Apply knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction methods to develop practical, coordinated solutions. Technical Expertise Research and apply building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility standards, and permitting requirements. Prepare code analyses and life safety documentation for assigned projects. Review architectural documents for accuracy, completeness, and coordination. Identify and resolve technical and constructability issues, seeking guidance from Senior Project Architects as needed. Project Coordination & Communication Coordinate construction documents with all consultants based upon project requirements. Partner with Project Managers to align architectural deliverables with project scope, schedule, and budget. Participate in client and consultant meetings, document decisions, and follow through on action items. Communicate project progress, coordination needs, and potential issues clearly and promptly.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Active professional architecture license in the United States.6+ years of architectural experience in commercial, industrial, or prototype projects. Proficiency in Revit, BIM coordination, and construction documentation; familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM360 a plus. Strong working knowledge of building codes, construction systems, detailing, and permitting processes. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage assigned work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment. Located in the United States, with the ability to travel occasionally for project/client meetings.
