Company Description: One of the world's largest vertical manufacturers of woven textiles including bottom weight fabrics, denim and shirting.
Role Description: We are working exclusively with an international company looking for a Head of Innovation to be based in the US or Europe. You will act as the company's voice with North America and European brand partners. This role involves identifying emerging trends, technologies, and market opportunities, and translating them into practical strategies, services, and tools that support clients and internal teams. The Head of Innovation will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to design and implement new search methodologies, process improvements, and data-driven solutions. Daily responsibilities include guiding research and development efforts, overseeing pilot projects, measuring outcomes, and sharing insights that enhance the company’s competitive advantage. This person will sit directly in the market not the mill and be in a commercial and technical bridging role. Remote role with 50% travel.
Qualifications: Bachelor's in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, Polymer/Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Master's or PhD preferred.15+ years of experience in woven textiles with 5+ years in leading product development Deep hands on knowledge of at least two of bottomweight fabrics, khakis, denim and/or shirting. Must understand the loom and the finishing range. Experience with cotton, synthetics and blends. Working knowledge of yarn engineering, spinning, filament yarn types, texturizing, twisting and dyeing.
