About the role

The Role: Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build and release features across the frontend and backend of several web applications used by external partners and an internal team. The work centers on keeping live systems dependable, expanding automated test coverage and turning loosely defined requests into working software.
What You'll Do: Take on daily tickets, fix defects and release improvements that internal and external users depend on right away. Become the owner of a critical live service soon after joining, keeping it dependable as traffic climbs. Collaborate closely with the CTO, the founding team and a small group of engineers to turn ambiguous requests into working software. Grow automated testing across the product suite, with substantial ownership of this effort. Carry features from scoping through to production across JavaScript-based frontends and backend services, along with databases and cloud infrastructure. Build backend APIs and data pipelines, including automated workflows that process engineering drawings and design files.
What We're Looking For: 2-3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and maintaining products that people use. Experience across both frontend and backend work in a JavaScript or TypeScript web stack. Demonstrated speed in delivering production functionality at an early-stage company or compact team. Comfort working on a small, fast team with a high degree of ownership.
Bonus Points: Former founder or early startup engineering experience. Experience building testing frameworks. Experience with ETL or data pipelines, simple machine learning models, or CAD and 2D drawing or OCR files. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
