DescriptionSAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Architect with a Top Secret Clearance to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop solutions and have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing virtual desktop environments within highly secure environments. This role requires a strategic thinker who can leverage Azure technologies to enhance our organization's virtual desktop infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security protocols. Key Responsibilities:Architectural Design and Implementation:Design, implement, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop solutions tailored to meet the organization's requirements.Develop architectural blueprints and documentation for AVD deployments.Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.Security and Compliance:Ensure all AVD solutions comply with federal security standards and guidelines.Implement robust security measures, including encryption, multi-factor authentication, and access controls.Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.Project Management:Lead AVD projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AVD solutions.Manage timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure project success.Optimization and Troubleshooting:Monitor AVD performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize user experience.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AVD deployments.Implement best practices for maintaining and upgrading AVD environments.Collaboration and Support:Work closely with IT, security, and business teams to understand requirements and provide tailored AVD solutions.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.Offer support and training to end-users to ensure effective utilization of AVD solutions.Continuous Improvement:Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies, trends, and best practices.Proactively identify opportunities for improving the virtual desktop infrastructure.Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of AVD solutions.QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must be a US Citizen with a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 14 years of experience.Deep understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Network Components, and related Azure services.Proficiency in virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V, VMware, and Citrix.Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including VPN, VNET, and subnetting.Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps.Knowledge of securing virtualized environments, including threat detection, incident response, and compliance frameworks. Working experience of AVD its architecture, deployment options & management tools including familiarity with application packaging and delivery techniques for AVD Experience of end user management (compliance, configuration, application delivery) using Intune Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile FrameworkPREFERRED EDUCATION: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Job Field: Engineering and SciencesTravel: Yes, 10 % of the Time
