About the role
Job Location:
305 Franklin Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 3 days/week.
DutiesCoach and train entry‑level Hardware Engineers
Develop process improvement and implementation plans
Develop electronic platforms and motor controls
Act as lead product design engineer for electronic applications
Mentor junior Hardware Engineers to solve complex problems
Perform root cause analysis and error correction of system‑level problems relating to hardware, controls, firmware, and architecture
Stay abreast of new technology and competitors’ products and suggest hardware procedure enhancements

Requirements:
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in an engineering or technical role, including all of the following skills: communication and computer hardware interface; design tools (PSpice, MATLAB, or Mathcad); OEM standards and EMC design guidelines; electronic platform design; test setup and hardware connections; field testing and troubleshooting.
In lieu of a master’s degree and 4 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field, and 6 years of post‑bachelor’s progressive experience in engineering or technical roles that includes the above skills.
