About the role

Sales EngineerWe are seeking exceptional sales talent to join our team as a Sales Engineer. Reporting to the Regional Director, this high-visibility pre-sales role is responsible for driving revenue by partnering with Account Managers to deliver quality technical support, solution demonstrations, and value-driven customer presentations. The Sales Engineer acts as the lead product solution specialist across network resilience, application performance, and cybersecurity solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Sales Technical Leadership: Partner with Sales teams to investigate prospect needs, uncover new business opportunities, and execute technical strategies to close deals.Demos & PoCs: Create and deliver product demonstrations, lead whiteboard discussions, manage competitive bakeoffs, and execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs) both remotely and on-site.Account Strategy & Expansion: Build relationships across customer IT silos to map infrastructure, uncover technical challenges, and identify upsell opportunities.Forecasting & Pipeline Support: Assist sales leadership in accurately assessing and forecasting technical opportunities to meet financial targets.Product & Market Feedback: Stay current on market trends, differentiate solutions against competitors, and provide direct feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams for future enhancements.Basic QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.Experience: 10+ years in a pre-sales engineering, Network Architect, or pre-sales technical support role with a proven track record of success.Networking & Systems: Strong background in Cisco routing/switching/gateways, TCP/IP, SNMP, Netflow, BGP, VoIP, LAN/WAN topologies, and Linux/Windows operating systems.Technical Domains: Expertise in network performance management, fault/alert management, security concepts, trend analysis, virtualization, SDN/NFV, and Public/Private Cloud environments.Sales Training: Attendance in formal sales training programs (e.g., Sandler, Challenger, Miller Heiman, Siebel, or Afterburner).RFPs & Audits: Experience creating and responding to RFIs/RFPs.Must live in the New York City/Newark area.Preferred QualificationsMBA or technical military training.Relevant industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).Formal presentation training.What We OfferCompetitive compensation, equity options, and matching 401(k) plan.Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.Generous vacation package, volunteer time off, and charitable gift matching.Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development programs.Gretchen Sheppard ~ gretchen@ushealthcarecareers.biz ~ 408-686-9450
