Taxi Dispatch Manager
Position Summary:
The Taxi Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing daily taxi dispatch operations at assigned airport locations. This position manages staff, monitors operational performance, ensures efficient passenger and taxi flow, and maintains compliance with company, client, and airport requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong people management experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
As Taxi Dispatch Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing day-to-day taxi dispatch operations, including staff management and workflow optimization.
Managing, coaching, and providing direction to supervisors and frontline employees.
Monitoring employee performance, attendance, scheduling, and staffing needs.
Implementing operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
Collaborating with internal teams to achieve company goals and operational targets.
Monitoring and analyzing operational performance and recommending improvements.
Managing taxi and passenger flow to support efficient airport operations.
Ensuring compliance with applicable airport regulations, company policies, contractual requirements, and quality standards.
Managing operational budgets and resource allocation effectively.
Monitoring labor costs and identifying appropriate cost-saving opportunities.
Handling escalated client, customer, passenger, and driver concerns.
Maintaining positive relationships with clients and airport representatives.
Preparing and submitting monthly operational reports.
Using Microsoft Excel to track staffing, operational performance, schedules, labor hours, and other key metrics.
Partnering with Human Resources on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, and staffing needs.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of operations management experience, preferably in airport operations, transportation, taxi dispatch, hospitality, or a similar environment.
At least 2 years of people management experience.
Experience supervising employees and managing performance, scheduling, and attendance.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer and client service skills.
Experience with budgeting, operational reporting, and workforce management preferred.
Airport or transportation operations experience preferred. Schedule The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays required based on operational needs. Benefits.
