Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM

Summary:
ProVia Logistics is seeking an individual dedicated to safety to fill the position of Safety and Compliance Coordinator to help strengthen our team and our safety culture. The Safety and Compliance Coordinator role promotes ProVia Logistics’ culture of safety to our drivers and ensures the drivers maintain compliance with FMCSA rules and regulations. Relationship and team-building skills are important as the role works directly with the drivers and the Logistics Safety Team. The ideal candidate is proactive, attentive, and dedicated to improving our safety culture and program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Evaluate and respond promptly to driver safety call-ins.
Intentionally build relationships with each driver to effectively coach and further our safety program.
Manage assigned drivers by coaching behavior patterns, reviewing accidents, citations, etc.
Continually identify opportunities to improve our safety program/culture.
Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs in collaboration with the Safety and Compliance Manager.
Investigate incidents and accidents involving company trucks/drivers, identify causes, assess preventability, and provide coaching and set up training as needed.
Conduct yearly reviews of Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs).
Evaluate and record roadside inspection reports and citations, and issue/request safety rewards for clean inspection reports.
Closely monitor Hours of Service (HOS) compliance, including assigning unassigned drive time, identifying HOS and other violations, and ensuring adherence to our Pre/Post trip inspection standards.
Qualifications:
Experience in the field of transportation or a related field is preferred. However, training will be provided for candidates who are an ideal fit for our culture and mission.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
Familiarity with HOS rules and regulations.
CDL preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address safety concerns.
