About the role

School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Naperville, Illinois Elevate your nursing career in a dynamic elementary school environment near Naperville, IL, with this rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year. Working onsite as a dedicated full-time Registered Nurse, you'll play a key role in supporting students' health and wellbeing. Your workdays will run Monday through Friday, 8:45am-3:45pm, providing excellent work-life balance as you make a difference in young lives.
Key Qualifications:
  • Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Previous experience as a school nurse strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting students with diabetes, g-tube care, or seizure management is a plus
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and educational staff
Please note: LPNs are not eligible for this position
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive daily nursing care to elementary-aged students
  • Create and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic medical needs
  • Provide emergency care and manage acute illnesses or injuries onsite
  • Monitor, administer, and document medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators to advocate for student health
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
