About the role

Welder Position The Welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities: Welds raw materials to construct and/or repair the framework of our trailers using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment. Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches, and other general hand tools Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded. Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area. Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Consistently meets high quality and control standards. Works safely at all times. Learn and become proficient in other production roles in order to support our entire team as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities: Able to work safely and follow all safety rules Ability to accurately read a tape measure Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Physical Requirements: Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat or overhead. Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work. Must be able to see details at close range Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Capacity to stand for extended periods Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, carry materials.
