About the Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Community Sports Coach to lead and inspire young athletes in various sports programs across East London. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging training sessions, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development through sports, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive environment for participants of all ages and abilities, contributing to the growth of sports within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality coaching sessions for assigned sports teams or groups.
Develop athletes' technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness.
Promote fair play, discipline, and a positive attitude among participants.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and program coordinators.
Assist in the organization and running of local sports events and competitions.
Requirements:
Relevant coaching certifications for the specific sport(s) being coached.
Previous experience in coaching sports, preferably with youth athletes.
Strong knowledge of the rules, techniques, and strategies of the relevant sport(s).
Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Passion for sports and youth development.
