Hotel Front Desk Agent Pay Range: $25.00 - $25.47 The Hotel Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for managing check-ins and check-outs, handling guest inquiries, processing staff travel arrangements, coordinating airport transportation, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience throughout the guest stay. Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival. Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately. Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the property management system. Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner. Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. Handle payments, issue room keys, and maintain accurate guest account records. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area. Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards. Process and manage staff travel ticket arrangements, including coordinating bookings and providing after-hours support to travelers. Operate the hotel shuttle safely and courteously to transport guests and employees to and from the airport and approved destinations. Conduct timely airport pickups and drop-offs while maintaining transportation logs and schedules. Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Ensure shuttle vehicles remain clean and presentable. Coordinate transportation requests with front desk operations. Comply with all traffic laws and vehicle safety requirements. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Strong commitment to guest service, safety, and professionalism Professional appearance and demeanor
Additional Details: Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or hospitality training preferred Alaska Driver's License with clean driving record.
Experience Required: Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred Knowledge of local roads, airport procedures, and area attractions preferred Skills in Operating a computer utilizing a variety of software applications. Problem solving and communicating issues as they arise to the supervisor. Ability to Safely operate passenger vans or shuttle vehicles in varying weather and road conditions Assist with luggage and lift up to 50 lbs. Multitask and remain calm under pressure Computer Skills Proficiency with computers and reservation systems
