About the role

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading manufacturing company, is seeking to hire a motivated Welder to join their team. The Welder is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of the welding process in a timely and accurate manner. This includes operating welding equipment to weld structural metal components/members.
Location: Oakland, NJ Reports To: Floor Supervisor Pay Rate: $25/hr+ (DOE)
Job Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc. Operate cutting torches, grinders, and drills. Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications. Other responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications and Accountability Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's or Technical degree preferred. Strong ability to multitask with attention to individual details. Minimum 2 years of experience in TIG, MIG, and spot welding. Job task planning and organizing skills. Working knowledge of hand and power tools. Strong organizational skills and adaptability to constant changes in production. Ability to read and understand English. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Environmental/
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
