About the role
- Develop and maintain the training curriculum for specialty pharmacy technicians
- Deliver classroom and floor based onboarding for newly hired technicians
- Create competency assessments and administer them at defined intervals
- Coach technicians on the pharmacy floor during and after the onboarding period
- Maintain training documentation and competency records to accreditation standards
- Update training materials as workflows, systems, and payer requirements evolve
- Identify recurring trends in quality data and deliver targeted refresher training
- Support cross training across intake, benefits investigation, and fulfillment functions
- Partner with supervisors on individual development and performance plans
- Track time to productivity for new hires and refine onboarding to accelerate itDeliver annual refresher and compliance training on schedule
- Support accreditation and audit requests for training and competency documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
- Active Arizona pharmacy technician license requiredPTCB or NHA certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy technician experience, including at least 1 year in specialty pharmacy
- Prior training, precepting, or lead technician experience
- Familiarity with URAC or ACHC training and competency documentation requirements preferred
- Working knowledge of specialty intake, benefits investigation, and fulfillment workflows
- Demonstrated experience developing training content and curriculum
- Strong presentation and coaching skills with adult learners
