Free short- and long-term disability insurance and life insurance2-4 weeks of paid vacation 401K with a match We have an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Airfield Ramp Supervisor to lead a team of Catering Service Representatives (CSR's) catering aircraft at bustling LAX.The Airfield Ramp Supervisor is responsible for managing people and performance on the airfield while maintaining great account relations with the airline. This includes ensuring Catering Service Representatives (CSR's) and trucks are positioned to cater flights on time, that protocols are adhered to, and irregular operations are managed to get flights out on time. Functions and Responsibilities: Ensure people and trucks in positioned to cater flights on time. Monitor and ensure compliance with HACCP and ramp safety SOP.Oversee the allocation of labor to maximize productivity Monitor CSR adherence to work and safety protocols and provide instruction. Deal with issues and assist when irregular operations require extra support. Manage CSR performance for improvement and high morale. Manage CSR schedules and meal violations. Assists in planning and forecasts manpower. Checks that all teams are catering correct aircraft and flights. Responsible for getting information from other airlines for service. Help figure out ways to improve ways of working.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience as a team leader or supervisor in a transportation/assembly/or logistics operation. HS Diploma/College degree preferred Experience in related industry, including in various safety and training roles (airline catering or airport operations role preferred) Must have strong and effective leadership skills, and successfully manage a staff of 20-30 Knowledge of and/ or the ability to interpret CAL-OSHA & other agency safety regulations Valid California Driver's License Ability to pass TSA & FBI background screening Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred Values: Gets satisfaction monitoring completion of work to safety or procedural standards and improving performance through positive, trusting relationships with direct reports and clients.
