Good manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive hands-on assembly workFULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support hands-on assembly operations within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assembling products according to written instructions and procedures, using handheld tools, maintaining workstation inventory, performing quality checks, identifying and documenting defects, and completing rework or repairs as required. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable performing repetitive precision assembly while maintaining established quality and safety standards. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Reading, interpreting, and following written assembly instructions and procedures Accurately assembling products according to established manufacturing requirements Using handheld tools such as screwdrivers, drill guns, and other standard assembly tools Maintaining required product and material inventory at assigned workstations Performing quality checks to ensure assembled products meet established standards Identifying product defects and documenting quality concerns appropriately Reworking and/or repairing assembled products according to engineering specification changes Following established quality standards throughout the assembly process Following all applicable manufacturing and safety procedures Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area Supporting production flow and daily manufacturing goals Using basic computer systems for production-related tasks as required Applying basic problem-solving and reasoning skills when assembly issues arise Working collaboratively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other manufacturing team members Performing repetitive assembly activities while maintaining accuracy and consistency Performing other duties as assigned The selected candidate will also possess:1 to 2 years of assembly experience preferred Entry-level candidates with relevant manufacturing experience and a strong willingness to learn may be considered High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not requiredBasic reading and writing skills requiredAbility to understand and follow written and verbal instructions requiredBasic computer navigation and utilization skills required Experience using hand tools requiredStrong manual dexterity requiredAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughly requiredStrong attention to detail required Self-motivated and dependable work style requiredBasic problem-solving and reasoning skills requiredAbility to perform repetitive hands-on assembly tasks Ability to visually inspect assembled products and identify workmanship or quality concerns Experience in electronics manufacturing a plusExperience with PCBA or electromechanical assemblies a plusExperience in an AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or similar regulated manufacturing environment preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment drug and background screening Ability to work onsite in Brea, CAAbility to work 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PMAbility to work overtime as required based on production needs
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to regularly lift and move approximately 10 to 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and move throughout production areas as neededAbility to perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the workday
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle parts, components, tools, and production materials
  • Strong manual dexterity to assemble parts and components quickly and accurately
  • Ability to safely use various types of hand tools
  • Ability to visually inspect small components and completed assemblies
  • Ability to perform work requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to work around electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to use basic computers and standard office equipment as neededAbility to communicate effectively with employees at multiple levels
  • Ability to maintain focus, accuracy, and attention to detail during repetitive assembly activities
  • Ability to wear required PPE and follow applicable manufacturing and safety procedures
Salary Range: $17 to $19/hour
