About the role

Manual Assembly Operator The Manual Assembly Operator is vital to the manufacture of our high-quality outdoor furniture components. This role requires keen attention to detail, commitment to safety, and strong work ethic. The individual will specialize in the manual assembly of various components, utilizing handheld power tools for precise and efficient: Employees in this role may be cross trained on CNC operations as business needs arise, based on individual performance. Cross-training is at the discretion of management and does not guarantee a transition to a CNC Operator position. Role and
Responsibilities: Manual Assembly: Employ handheld power tools to assemble various components Saw Cutting: Conduct manual saw-cutting operations for component preparation if applicable. Production Accountability: Assume responsibility for all activities and output in your designated work area, ensuring efficiency and quality. Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure compliance with quality standards for assembled products.
Miscellaneous Duties: Perform additional duties such as machine maintenance, tooling changes, and other tasks as assigned. Safety Compliance: Prioritize and uphold safety measures, particularly when working around hot machinery and moving equipment. Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines. Report any safety hazards to the supervisor. Training: Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs. Actively contribute to continuous improvement: Promptly report any operational inefficiencies or safety hazards to the supervisor.
CNC Duties: (If Cross-Trained)Employees selected for cross-training will operate CNC machines when assigned, and may be assigned the following duties as business needs require: CNC Operations: Operate CNC machines to cut, drill, and shape plastic components. Familiarity with G-code is helpful but not required, as programming is not a primary function. Saw Cutting: Perform precise cuts on plastic materials using automated and manual saws, ensuring optimal material usage and minimal waste. Machine Upkeep: Perform basic machine maintenance and tooling changes as trained and assigned.
Requirements
Measurement Skills: Competency in reading and interpreting measurements from a tape measure, digital calipers, and other measuring instruments. Tool Proficiency: Experience with various hand and power tools, including but not limited to, drills, impact drivers, and pneumatic systems. Scheduling: Capability to adhere to production timelines and meet output targets. Coordination: Ability to collaborate with team members to achieve collective production goals and ensure workflow efficiency. Education High School Diploma or GED is preferred. A minimum of one year of sustained employment in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
Lifting Requirements: Capable of lifting and assembling heavy components, occasionally upwards of 50 lbs. Tool Operation: Ability to operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively.
