Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Coldwater, Michigan (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Shift: 3rd Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)Shift Differential: $1.50/hr Compensation
Hourly Rate: $27 – $40/hour (based on experience) Overtime: 48+ hours per week
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Coldwater, MI. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical and automated systems to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment, including automated production systems Perform maintenance on production and processing equipment to reduce downtime Diagnose complex electrical issues and implement safe, effective solutions Work with modern automation systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits Perform installation and minor mechanical repairs as needed Support other maintenance functions and departments when required Maintain tools, documentation, and ensure proper housekeeping after work completion Adapt to evolving technologies and continuously improve technical skills
Required Skills: Hands-on experience working with 480V electrical systems Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and industrial scales Strong troubleshooting skills down to the component/circuit board level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Ability to work effectively under pressure, especially during equipment breakdowns Strong initiative with a proactive approach to problem-solving Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team Professional attitude with a customer-service mindset Technical training in electronics/electrical systems preferred Mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, and willingness to learn new technologies
